That's some very impressive shooting, original barrel, a 2.2x scope, and rested on a front bag at that range.. The misses weren't to far off either.. I'd love to try one of them, only ever come across them in war museums..

Great shooting alright. Iv always had a soft spot for the garand, although have never even seen one in person. Is there many here? And do they come up for sale often??

Duffy Guns brought in 10 standard M1s in .308 there a few years ago. Only recently 1 was handed back in to free up a licence so the guy could get another semi .308.

If its still there its in mint condition with a few extras for (if I remember correctly) 1100 mark.

Unfortunatly theres no1 in the classic rifle club with 1 (yet) bet id like to see how it competes against my G3.

If you had been on the reciving end of those shots.I dont think it would have been very pleasent, even the misses.
GH beat me to it about Duffys.Still .308 is going to be easier on shoulder and pocket than 30.06 around here.
Guns are in themselves inherently stable objects.Their cheif enemies are rust and politicans.
