    Default Seen in Kerry

Had to make a quick spin to Limerick the weekend and flew into Kerry..
As we were passing over all the plantations and forestry and getting pretty low I could see 4 deer at the edge of a plantation and one of them was snow white standing out like a sore thumb compared to the other 3.

Are their many I presume albino deer around the area?
Ive seen some light coloured ones in a herd near home but nothing like that.

And yes it was 100% a deer

Well if you believe in St Gobnait (the patron Saint of Beekeepers)

While on Inis Oírr an an angel instructed her to go on a journey. The angel told her that when she came upon nine white deer, that would be her place of resurrection. Gobnait travelled through Waterford, Cork and Kerry. There is a Holy Well and a church named after her in Dunquin, County Kerry, a town near Dungarvan in Waterford. and also Kilgobnet near Killorglin in Kerry. But it was at Baile Bhúirne -Ballyvouney in Cork where she finally came across 9 white deer grazing.

    Cork/Kerry border and all that

Could have been jet lag, the quick spinning will take it's toll on one

    Nice bit of info Aussie

Never seen any albino wildlife myself. There apparently was an albino pheasant & fox in my area in previous years.
