Default good day out 1

well lads ill start the first part of my day out here
as i said i thought ild give the hunting poles and the stock a bit of a baptism yesterday by going for a ramble for a few deer. i hit the road around 6.45 and arrieved at the shooting grounds for first light. this is the hunting grounds that i said a lot of poaching is taking place in in another thread last week. anyway i had a lovely walk over the mountains tracking a deer towards a forest but lost it about 30m into the woods so i turned back and headed for the jeep. when i got to the devide of the open mountain and some fields i noticed a blood patch at one corner, was from the night before, which shows that poaching is alieve and well up there.
i decided that there wasnt much point hanging around here so i said ild head for another spot so got into the jeep and headed off. as i was making my way down the road i copped two fine big foxes in a field to my right. i parked up in an old farm entrance and took the rifle out and crept through the hedge into the field and put the bipod down. i turned the zoom up to x10 and estimated the fox i was aiming at to be about 200m and squeezed. the second fox did a quick legger down the field and through a ditch so i thought there wasnt much point wasting my time following it. anyway i walked down to the first fox and all i can say is WHOW!!!!! i picked it up and could basically feel everything inside it rattle around.
i think it was john galway was talking about tanning foxes in another thread, but if i was able to i defenetally would have taken the pelt.......one of the finest pelts and tails ive seen in a while
