thanks guys
no not really much luck. seems its hard to get a stock to suit a prohunter other than a cutom made one - and I can't afford that. I spoke to John Green, who was helpfull I must say but really other than making a mould just for me then not really a runner. I will look into it again in the off season but for now it is one for the back burner I think. |

i had a 25,05 in a pro hunter ,i never liked it.
years ago i had a original pro hunter the one with the green stock in .270 ,at the time is was the only option in a all weather stock .it too had a flimsy forend. also had a timber model M in 243 lovely lite rifle. styers fall short of the make for a few reasons ,the stocks are total crap . the SBS system is a disaster . the mag is another gimmick ,the barrels are to lite and to long is some cals. on the plus the have one of the best triggers on the market. get yourself a tikka or sako . it will save you money in the long run . the remmies, howas, and the like are fine if you want to spend your time upgrading them as a hobby. |

Or you could stay in the family and get a Scout..no stock issues and they are easy carried on the hill...
...just my two cents

Just to give you an update on this, SRO now do accuracy stocks for rifles other than Remys via a conversion kit drop in chassis
Worth giving him a shout
